Why buy coffee from Gato Diablo?

A trip to Costa Rica in 2015 reignited our passion for birding and coffee!

Located on the shores of the St Lawrence River, Gato Diablo specializes in great-tasting environmentally-friendly coffees. Most of our coffee beans are grown on organic farms certified by the Rainforest Alliance or by the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center as meeting their Bird Friendly certification. These organizations ensure that the coffee is shade-grown, fair-trade, organic, and grown in harmony with nature. Having visited Hacienda Miramonte in Costa Rica, we can attest to the dramatic difference this certification and commitment makes, and we are proud to help support sustainable farms that produce great-tasting specialty coffee beans.
